The Chalice

The chalice symbolizes the Goddess and fertility, and is associated with the element of Water. The chalice is used to hold ritual beverages and drink offerings, as well as to enact The Great Rite, in which the bowl represents the womb of the Goddess. In this aspect, the chalice represents the power of the Goddess as mother of all creation.

The chalice may be made of any material: silver, brass, gold, glass, crystal, etc. It may be used to confer blessings up those who drink from it by blessing the liquid within.
